Hikawa River flood control facilities

Between 1911 and 1931, 74 flood control facilities were constructed in order to stabilize the flow of Hikawa River. Today, the lower part of these facilities has become covered in sediment, and now only the upper part can be seen, which looks like stone paving in the middle of the vineyards. The surrounding area became a well-watered land, and is now used as a vineyard.
