Koshu style trellis cultivation

By means of trellis cultivation using bamboo, in the middle of the Edo period, Koshu was the number one grape produced in Japan. Also, with the introduction of robust wire in 1898, grapes could be cultivated in any type of terrain, and bunches of colored grapes between leaves grew across roofs and hang like chandeliers, and they could be seen spreading across the hills.
